Associate Memberships and Vendor Benefit Program
The Canadian Towing Association was formed as a new entity following the conclusion of the Towing and Recovery Alliance of Canada (TRAC). The Canadian Towing Association is Incorporated as a federally regulated non-profit organization.
Formed in the spring of 2019 we shared an office with the Ontario Recovery Group o/a ORG Inc. (Ontario’s exclusive Heavy-Duty Towing Association) and had a secretary and executive director handling the business of both associations. Unfortunately, our advancement was hindered by the COVID 19 pandemic. This resulted in the closure of the office as everyone hid at home. Happy to say we are now back on track!
The plan of the association has always been to incorporate professional tow operators to the board of directors to encourage membership, province by province and to advance the industry to a respectable trade we can all be proud of.
When we look across Canada the problems as we see them are organizational and no one entity sings from the same song sheet. We feel that it is time for the towing industry to manage their own affairs and not outsiders.
There are also standardized traffic and safety management, employee training, and improving the lives of all involved in this business. We have developed an affordable on-line training program for entry level drivers and is available right across Canada.
Collectively, we believe we can make a big difference. This industry lacks national leadership, and we must work together to resolve issues one step at a time. Leaders must come from within, not the boardrooms of controlling corporations.
We have a huge job ahead of us, but things won’t change unless we work together and make them change. Working with our provincial counterparts we believe positive change is possible.

Manufacturer (Truck chassis or Wrecker Manufacturer) = $3,000.00 per year
Tow Truck Distributors, Equipment Distributor, Insurance Companies = $1,500.00 per year
Hardware Vendors and other suppliers = $1,000.00 per year.
Other plans include:
Platinum Member = $10,000.00 or more (name listed on website and all advertising for 3 years, a seat on the advisory committee and invitation to attend and speak at conferences, virtual meetings or charity fund raising programs.
Diamond Member = $5,000.00 (name listed on website and all advertising for 2 years and invitation to attend and speak at either one conference, virtual meeting or attend one charity event).
Gold Member = $3,000.00 (name listed on website and all advertising for 1 year and invitation to attend one conference, virtual meeting or attend one charity event).
